Frequently Asked Questions
I’m new to pelvic health. Is this course too advanced for me?
Not at all. Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy: The Practice-Ready Intensive was specifically designed for clinicians new to pelvic health. The course walks you step-by-step through the essential anatomy, assessment skills, and treatment strategies needed to begin treating pelvic floor conditions with confidence.
Will I actually feel confident treating pelvic health patients after this course?
Yes. The goal of this course is to give you practical, clinically applicable skills you can start using right away. By the end of the course, you will have frameworks to assess and manage common conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain.
How is this course different from other pelvic health courses?
Many pelvic health programs require clinicians to complete multiple levels before feeling clinically prepared. This course combines the key foundational material typically covered in Level 1 and Level 2 training, allowing you to build a strong clinical base in one structured program.
I feel nervous about internal pelvic floor assessment. Is that normal?
Absolutely. Many clinicians feel this way when starting pelvic health training. Our instructors create a supportive, respectful learning environment, and internal labs are taught step-by-step with clear guidance and consent at every stage.
Can I participate in the internal assessment portion of the course if I am menstruating?
Yes. In fact, it is a great opportunity to experience and internal exam while menstruating, as you may be seeing clients in the future that may be on their period. Participation during your menstrual cycle is entirely your choice. There is no cause for concern as the course environment is clean and we endeavor to make you feel comfortable.
Will this course help me grow my clinical practice?
Yes. Pelvic health is one of the most in-demand areas of physiotherapy, and developing these skills allows you to support an under-served patient population while expanding your clinical expertise.
Why should I take this course with Level Up?
