The Functional IMS course provides comprehensive training on conducting full body neuropathic functional assessments. It enhances clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to identify patients who will benefit from IMS techniques. The course covers indications, contraindications, precautions, and emergency measures, ensuring safe and clean needle handling practices. Participants will learn over 150 needling points across two intensive weekends, equipping them with practical skills for effective treatment.

In-Person Learning:
2 Intensive Weekends In Person: 40 hours total
Virtual Component:
Case study and presentation: 40 hours total
Terms and conditions for successful completion:
- Successfully completing the multiple choice quiz after each module (80% pass mark).
- Submit 1 case study based on neuropathic assessment (from your caseload).
- Practically demonstrate safe needling technique on the last day of the course.
What you will get at the end of the course:
- A certificate of completion
- You will be able to roster with your regulatory college*
- You will be able to use the designation “CFIMS” (Certified Functional Intramuscular Stimulation practitioner) under your title.
