The Functional IMS course provides comprehensive training on conducting full body neuropathic functional assessments. It enhances clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills to identify patients who will benefit from dry needling techniques. The course covers indications, contraindications, precautions, and emergency measures, ensuring safe and clean needle handling practices. Participants will learn over 150 dry needling points across two intensive weekends, equipping them with practical skills for effective treatment.

What will you learn upon completion of the course:

  1. How to do a full body neuropathic functional assessment
  2. Improve your clinical reasoning and critical thinking process
  3. Identify patients who will benefit from dry needling techniques.
  4. Indications, contraindications, precautions and emergency measures
  5. Safe and clean needle handling practice
  6. Over 150 dry needling points over 2 weekends in person.

Terms and conditions for successful completion:

  1. Successfully completing the multiple choice quiz after each module (80% pass mark).
  2. Submit 1 case study based on neuropathic assessment (from your caseload).
  3. Practically demonstrate safe needling technique on the last day of the course.

What you will get at the end of the course:

  1. A certificate of completion
  2. You will be able to roster with your regulatory college*
  3. You will be able to use the designation “CFIMS” (Certified Functional Intramuscular Stimulation practitioner) under your title.
  4. You will get a digital emblem with unique identification number that you can put under your picture on websites, Instagram handles, business cards, letterheads, resumes etc.
  5. You will have a free lifetime listing on our website for patients, insurance companies, physicians and employers to verify and find you and your current place of practice.
